Subject(s): Abstract: 'When I was asked to take part in this Forum I was in doubt how to approach the problem....I could, of course, give you a historical account of Jung's work and discoveries, but such a survey would not in itself contribute much to mental health....So I decided to try and present to you what is perhaps the central idea of Jung's teaching in such a way that the goal, namely, that of mental health, of psychological wholeness, may be brought a little nearer to attainment.'
