'Narcissism is now the rage, the universal diagnosis....Narcissism has its theoreticians--Kohut, Kernberg, Lacan--and modern Jungians are following the rage. The collective consciousness of psychology makes us collectively unconscious, much as Jung said when writing about the collective ideas in his day. Being "with it" also means being in it. The epidemic diagnosis "narcissism" states that the condition is already endemic to the psychology that makes the diagnosis. It sees narcissism because it sees narcissistically....' --p. 62
