N2  - 'Recent psychoanalytical work on the 'self' or on 'myself' has thrown light on the narcissistic core of the personality and the nature of self regard but the importance of this work has brought about a confusion, particularly among Jungian writers, about how the words 'self' and 'ego' are to be used and understood.
