Abstract: '...My own study differs from others in its analysis of Boehme's elaborate descriptions of the creative act and the corresponding evolutionary process from nature to spirit. In so centering my attention I have been compelled to ignore some characteristic aspects of Boehme's philosophy which have been more fully and more frequently treated elsewhere. Boehme's theory of evolution portrays a unique mystical ladder of genuine practical value to modern religious seekers and of real theoretical significance to students of the psychology and philosophy of mysticism....' --Preface
